The “Nut Butter” Category Assessment Essay
Nut butter is basically, the resultant spread component derived from the crashing of nuts (Bittman). Nuts are normally rich in oils, which is responsible for the smooth and butter-like texture when they are crushed. In some cases, after nuts have been crushed, they are added milk or oils to make them softer to enable easy spreading (Bittman). Little salt and other flavors could also be added to enhance tastes and different flavors, which are used especially for the branding purposes in industrial processed nut butter. The making of nut butter is normally simple and does not have to go through an industrial process (Bittman). Many of the butter can be easily made at home and this could even represent cheaper costs unlike in the cases where they are purchased from retail shops.
